Hi, both myself and my sister have Long QT 1and 2. We were diagnosed almost 2 years ago. I am 40 and my sister is 44. Our father died from what we now believe to have been LQT at the age of 48 after running. We have found the whole process lonely and stressful. We are attending the Royal Hospital and have been very lucky to have the support of Tracy Jardine and Joanne however I'd be very interested to know if there are any other people from the North who also have LQT or is there an existing support group.
    thanks m

    Hi,
There is a Long QT Support Group in the Republic which are part of The Irish Heart Foundation , they have an Annual Support and Information Day which is also attended by people in the North .I am aware of one of the Committee members who lives in Donegal. If you contact the Irish Heart Foundation on 01 6685001 or log onto their website www.irishheart.ie you will get information and contact numbers.

Also Cry operate in the North, Cardiac Risk in the Young, I don't know if they have a Support Group for Long QT , but it would be worth contacting them
