Launch_Portrait.jpgAlmost 700 guests, including many leading personalities from rugby, soccer and gaelic games, gathered at the Club Tyrone auction/banquet at the Armagh City hotel and helped raise over £140,000 for the Cormac Trust. Table receipts are set to swell that figure even further, possibly up to £200,000. GAA president Sean Kelly (above) secured a magnificent oil painting of former Tyrone Gaelic captain Cormac McAnallen with the highest bid of the evening, £21,500.
Other items auctioned included a unique car registration TE 03 SAM; an Ireland International Rules jersey signed by all the Irish players including Cormac from the 2003 team; a montage of signed self-portraits of sporting personalities including Brian O’Driscoll, Brian Kerr,

Peter Canavan, Chris Morgan and Jeremy Davidson and a unique autographed photograph of the Muhammad Ali v Sonny Liston fight plus two 10 year All-Ireland final tickets.
